CMGP Group Completes Near‑Full Takeover of Morocco’s Leading Chemical Producer

CMGP Group has closed the purchase of 95% of the Compagnie de Produits Chimiques du Maroc (CPCM) from its long‑time owners ABC Holding and Mr. Khalid Lahlou, with plans to eventually own 100%. Valued at around one billion MAD, the deal strengthens CMGP’s foothold in phytosanitary and industrial chemicals, adding a portfolio that spans agricultural protection, water‑treatment chemicals and solutions for paper, paint and other sectors. CMGP Group closes acquisition of CPCM

CMGP Group announced the completion of its acquisition of Compagnie de Produits Chimiques du Maroc (CPCM) from the historic shareholders ABC Holding and Mr. Khalid Lahlou. The deal covers 95 % of the share capital, with a clear roadmap to reach full ownership in the future.

Valued at close to one billion Moroccan dirhams, the transaction is a cornerstone of CMGP’s strategic roadmap, markedly expanding its presence in the phytosanitary and chemical‑on‑agricultural, industrial and environmental markets.

New integration dynamics and an expanded offering

The acquisition continues the external growth trajectory that began with the purchase of CAS in 2021 and the participation in Agrosem in 2024. It aims to provide farmers and industrial customers with a broader, more integrated suite of solutions that address rising demands for agronomic performance, sustainability and competitiveness.

With CPCM now part of the group, CMGP accelerates its development in the phytosanitary market while also broadening its portfolio to include chemicals for water treatment and a variety of industrial applications (paper, cardboard, paint, etc.).

Synergies and growth drivers

Generating an estimated annual turnover of 500 million dirhams, CPCM is expected to create substantial industrial and commercial synergies, reinforcing CMGP’s resilient, integrated and multi‑sectoral business model.
