Akdital Posts 24% Revenue Surge in Q1 2026, Expands Hospital Network

Akdital kicked off 2026 with a solid 24 % jump in consolidated revenue, reaching MAD 1.17 billion in Q1. The growth stems from both the maturing historic network and the contribution of new facilities opened in 2024‑2025, which alone generated MAD 430 million. With 41 hospitals across 24 cities and a rapidly expanding regional footprint, the group is also boosting staff numbers and capital spending, signaling a robust outlook for the Moroccan private‑health sector.

Financial Highlights

Revenue: Akdital reported a consolidated turnover of MAD 1.17 billion in Q1 2026, up 24 % year‑on‑year from MAD 940 million.

New facility contribution: The hospitals inaugurated in 2024 and 2025 alone added MAD 430 million to the quarter’s revenue.

Network Expansion

At the end of March, the group operated 41 facilities with a total capacity of 4,505 beds, spanning 24 Moroccan cities. Admissions rose to 281,748 patients, compared with 240,255 in Q1 2025.

Facilities outside the Casablanca‑Rabat corridor now represent 70 % of total bed capacity and account for 72 % of admissions during the period.

Operational Performance

  • Open‑heart surgeries performed: 687
  • Coronary dilatation procedures: 2,544
  • Chemotherapy admissions: 25,394
  • Radiotherapy sessions: 3,880

Most of these activities were delivered in hospitals located outside the Casa‑Rabat axis.

Human Resources

The workforce grew to 10,202 employees, an increase of 2,409 staff members over the past year, including 308 hires since the start of the fiscal year.

Capital Expenditure

Akdital’s Q1 investment reached MAD 243 million, an 80 % jump from the same period in 2025. Of this amount, MAD 157 million was allocated to domestic projects (equipment for 2025 openings and upcoming facilities), while MAD 86 million funded ongoing projects in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Financial Position

Net consolidated debt stood at MAD 4.54 billion at the end of March 2026, up 6 % from MAD 4.27 billion at year‑end 2025, reflecting continued investment activities.

Outlook

For the remainder of 2026, Akdital plans to open four additional hospitals in Morocco. The target is a network of 59 facilities across more than 29 cities by 2028, with capacity exceeding 6,000 beds. Internationally, the group pursues expansion in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Tunisia, aiming for 15 establishments and 2,000 beds by 2030.
