Moroccan Treasury Announces May 2026 Funding Requirement
The Directorate of Treasury and External Finance (DTFE) has disclosed that the Treasury's projected cash need for May 2026 will range between 9 and 10 billion Moroccan dirhams (MMDH).
This requirement will be covered through the upcoming auction of Treasury securities scheduled for May. The announcement follows a sharp increase from April, when the Treasury's forecasted need was between 2.5 and 3 billion dirhams.
Investors are advised to monitor the market, as the larger issuance could influence yields on short‑term government instruments.
