New Logistics Development Company for Casablanca-Settat

The Casablanca-Settat region has officially launched a dedicated logistics development company to oversee a major 550 million‑dirham industrial and logistics platform. The initiative will be centered in Ouled Saleh, a southern suburb of the metropolis, and is designed to address the region’s tightening supply of industrial land.

The Moroccan Logistics Development Agency (AMDL) leads the venture with an 80 % stake, investing 400 million‑DH of the total 500 million‑DH equity. The remaining 20 % (100 million‑DH) comes from the Casablanca-Settat region, which also provides a 50 million‑DH grant to support the project. The newly formed Société marocaine des installations logistiques de la région de Casablanca-Settat will be responsible for both the development and commercial operation of the 70‑hectare site.

This move adds a fresh pillar to the region’s logistics backbone, complementing existing assets such as the expansive Zenata industrial park. By expanding the available industrial footprint, authorities aim to accommodate growing demand from manufacturers, distributors, and e‑commerce players, thereby strengthening Casablanca-Settat’s position as a key logistics hub in Morocco.

The project underscores the government’s commitment to boosting infrastructure investment, fostering regional economic diversification, and creating jobs through large‑scale public‑private collaboration.
