Casablanca Bourse Holds Above 19,000 Points as MASI Slips 0.40% After Holiday Break
After a two-session pause, the Casablanca Stock Exchange resumed trading Thursday with a cautious tone. The benchmark MASI dipped 0.40% to 19,046.92 points, yet managed to stay above the psychological 19,000 threshold, supported by robust central market activity totalling MAD 409.7 million.

Market Resumes with a Hesitant Step
The Casablanca Stock Exchange reopened on Thursday following a two-day closure, and the session was marked by caution. The main MASI index closed at 19,046.92 points, a decline of 0.40% on the day. Despite this pullback, the index successfully defended the critical psychological level of 19,000 points. On a year-to-date basis, the MASI is now up +1.06%.
Sector and Index Breakdown
The MASI 20, which tracks the largest capitalizations, ended at 1,362.56 points, down 0.36% for the day and posting a year-to-date performance of -8.29%. The MASI ESG index closed at 1,422.28 points, a daily decline of 0.82%, though it remains up +13.64% since the start of the year. The MASI Mid and Small Cap index finished at 1,816.40 points, shedding a marginal 0.06%, with a year-to-date variation of -1.36%.
Futures Market Snapshot
On the derivatives segment, the MASI20 FUTURE JUI27 contract stood at 1,360.80 dirhams (+0.04%), while the MASI20 FUTURE SEP26 contract was quoted at 1,358.60 dirhams (-0.59%). The MASI20 FUTURE MAR27 contract settled at 1,357.20 dirhams (-0.37%), and the MASI20 FUTURE DEC26 contract reached 1,359.30 dirhams (-0.37%). Total futures market volume amounted to 4,078,000 dirhams.
Volume and Market Capitalization
Trading activity on the central market was notably robust, with total turnover reaching 409,696,174 dirhams, representing the entirety of the cash market volume. The overall market capitalization of the Casablanca Stock Exchange now stands at 1,126,793,254,695 dirhams.

Leading the session's advancers, STROC INDUSTRIE jumped to 202.35 dirhams (+9.97%), followed by M2M Group at 421.85 dirhams (+5.20%), SOCIETE DES BOISSONS DU MAROC at 2,135.00 dirhams (+3.19%), IB MAROC at 60.19 dirhams (+3.07%), and CASH PLUS S.A at 253.90 dirhams (+2.23%).
On the downside, PROMOPHARM S.A. led the decliners, falling to 1,223.00 dirhams (-5.92%). It was followed by Holcim Maroc S.A at 1,766.00 dirhams (-2.38%), FENIE BROSSETTE at 405.10 dirhams (-1.91%), MANAGEM at 1,860.00 dirhams (-1.85%), and UNIMER at 170.00 dirhams (-1.73%).
