CIH Bank Successfully Completes DH750 Million Capital Raise, Over‑Subscribed by 11 %

CIH Bank has closed a public cash‑based capital increase of roughly DH750 million. Investor demand reached DH832.912 million, meaning the issue was 1.11 times oversubscribed. The subscription window ran from July 15 to July 22, 2026, and the new shares raise the bank’s equity to DH3.774 billion, representing 37,748,481 shares. Together with earlier raisings approved in May, the total equity now stands at DH3.864 billion across 38,641,338 shares, underscoring strong confidence in the Moroccan banking sector.

Overview of the Capital Increase

CIH Bank announced the successful closure of a public cash capital increase targeting roughly DH750 million. The bank opted to eliminate preferential subscription rights, opening the offer to all investors.

Subscription Results

The issuance comprised 2,142,857 new shares. Subscriptions amounted to DH832.912 million, representing an oversubscription of 1.11 times. The subscription period ran from 15 July to 22 July 2026, in line with the prospectus approved by the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC) on 8 July 2026 (ref. VI/EM/022/2026). The board of directors, meeting on 28 July, confirmed that the operation was fully executed.

Resulting Capital Structure

The increase breaks down into a DH214.285 million increase in share capital and a DH535.714 million share premium. After the transaction, CIH Bank’s share capital rose from DH3.560 billion to DH3.774 billion, corresponding to a total of 37,748,481 shares.

In addition, the new subscriptions absorbed the two previous capital increases of DH749.999 million and DH249.999 million approved by the extraordinary general meeting on 22 May 2026. Combined, the total amount raised by all three operations equals DH999.999 million, issuing 3,035,714 new shares. The consolidated share capital now stands at DH3.864 billion, divided into 38,641,338 shares. The overall increase in share capital totals DH303.571 million with a cumulative premium of DH696.428 million.
